As Vienna has no Myanmar ambassy in Austria, I have to get my Visa at the embassy in Berlin.
I had to send
- my passport,
- the Visa-documents,
- three passport-pictures,
- an envelope with my adress and german stamps
to the embassy in Berlin. Beyond this, I had to
- transfer the amount of 25 EUR for the Visa to an account in Germany.
The interesting part here is the envelope with the “stamps” on it – to send the documents back to me.
From a european perspective, there are special international post-cupons available at every post-office for Europe as those are the unique currency in direction of stamps.
The thin is, that Germany is not accepting those international post-cupons.
As I am not having the possibility to buy german stamps at the post-office in Austria, I had to find a person in Berlin, who helps me in bringing there some stamps for finishing the approval-process. I started a call in twitter and facebook and was lucky to get in connection with a formal college from University, who supported me in going to the embassy with a collection of german stamps. Thanks for the support to my twitter-followers!
Although the whole Visa-process went wonderful, easy and smooth, I am wondering, that in times of a united Europe there is still a lack in a unique stamp-solution.
So, finally this worked wonderful and thanks Judith for your help.
Thanks also to the nice support from the Myanmar embassy in Berlin. It worked wonderful.
Now I am looking forward for getting the passport with the Visa within the next days.
